Education Studies (BA)
The Education Studies major is a designed for students interested in the study of education as a social, cultural, and intellectual endeavor, but who do not plan to pursue state licensure for classroom teaching. Students will critically examine how education transforms both individuals and society, while reflecting on their personal responsibility to foster inclusive educational environments.
This program serves students who want to explore careers in educational policy, nonprofit and community organizations, corporate training, youth services, or youth ministries. It also provides valuable preparation for those desiring to teach subjects not requiring licensure (ex. religious education), or those looking to work in higher education settings. In this program, students complete an internship focused on future career goals as part of this major.
